To most people, two bachelor’s degrees in business from Grantham University, plus an MBA and a Master’s from Excelsior College in New York and Walden University in Minneapolis, will set them off on a lifetime career in business. Deep roots in California and connections in New York, combined with outstanding talent and an incomparable work ethic, virtually guarantee a lucrative nine-to-five job. However, Lisa Gladden had different plans. Fortunately for her readers, she decided to dedicate her time to writing. She wrote her first six books in six short months and is working on more.
Lisa’s children’s books and science fiction series are fueled by her desire for positive change. Unlike office work, writing provides an outlet that combines enjoyment, personal pride, and a fulfilling career with the ability to make an impact on the world. Lisa’s journey as an author has put her on a path where her daily work sparks joy and fosters a connection with readers. Despite never having met her personally, readers respect her work for the inspiration it provides. Her goal is to weave stories that uplift and inspire, drawing upon her education, imagination, and the inherent power of storytelling.
Lisa’s greatest influences stem from her family. Her grandmother, who harbored a dream of writing about her life’s struggles, instilled a love for the craft in Lisa. Her mother’s unwavering encouragement to “work, work, work” instilled a strong work ethic that fueled her achievements. Finally, recognizing her talents, her boyfriend provides constant support, believing wholeheartedly in her talent and abilities.
Lisa may be a relatively new author, but she has begun to realize her potential as a captivating storyteller. Her blend of common sense, life experiences, education, and a sprinkle of imagination have created colorful and engaging worlds for her readers. They are anxiously awaiting to explore the world of her growing collection of works, with eight published books and counting. Lisa aspires to touch a broad spectrum of readers, crafting stories that transcend categorization, allowing her to simply do what she loves most: write.
